Camelot Castle, Tintagel

Queen Room with Sea View
4 out of 5 stars

Rating: 4 out of 5.

It was my girlfriends birthday so I wanted to surprise her by taking her away to somewhere so unique and out of the norm. After a few hours of scouring the internet to find such place, I came across Camelot Castle in Tintagel. Not only is Tintagel an absolute gem of a location, which I would highly recommend anyone to visit, the accommodation was in a castle suite overlooking beautiful Cornish cliffs and coastline.

This place looked off the scale different to anywhere else I had been in the UK. I mean it’s not every day you get to treat your girlfriend like the princess she is by surprising her a stay in such a magnificent castle.

I booked us a Queen Room with sea view, which had fantastic views and was very spacious with a lot of character features. However, the reason I rate this hotel room 4 out of 5 stars is because it had a horrendous portaloo styled bathroom that stood out like a sore thumb in the room, a massive let down!

I would book again but maybe I’ll look into booking a room with a better bathroom next time! I would also recommend as it is a very unique hotel.

Below is some of the photos we took of the room. I will also leave a link to the hotel website below.

  1. Nice photos! I stayed there one night a few years ago. It is a nice location. Their restaurant was pretty good. They also have some nice hiking nearby on the coastal path. I am thinking maybe it was the easiest way for them to add bathrooms to each room of the castle.
